I asked my husband to give me a title, and he said, “Joy Unspeakable.” So naturally, this poem is about the most amazing thing God has done for me this month: Filling my precious baby girl with the Holy Ghost!! Words could never define or describe the raging river of peace, love, joy, and gratitude this experience drenches me in.

Joy Unspeakable
To watch your child reach
When her nature is to hunker.
To see the countenance lift
When normally she’s hidden.
To know the words that emanate
From her mouth are for the Father
In the Heavenly language prophesied
As the spirit gives her utterance.
To see obedience come to fruition
When prayer is put to practice
And know without a shadow of doubt
The Lord has had his hand in this.
The gratitude that wells in me
And flows through every crevice.
Every word is tried and true
From revelation to Genesis.
