For A Little While

 

For a little while,

She will hold your hand so tight

As you walk together

And enjoy the day.

 

For a little while

She will drop more eggs than you need

And lick the batter by spoonfuls

Before the cookies get done.

 

For a little while

She will be small enough to carry,

And eager to please,

And ready for instruction.
